Teaching in an Empty Classroom
When the Canarian ministers announced students could not return to school until 15th September, we knew we could not wait another two weeks to start the academic year and had to immediately switch to remote learning.
However, having time to reflect as a staff body during INSET, we also knew we wanted to make improvements to the provision we were offering prior to the summer holidays.
The key change: all lessons went live! All staff have been based on the school site, with teachers in their classrooms, using the equipment installed over the summer to facilitate streaming live lessons to students in their homes. Students have been following their timetables, attending all of their lessons and enjoying learning again!
