An important component of our admissions process is ensuring that prospective parents are fully informed and have first-hand knowledge of The British School and, therefore, we will organise a school visit and meetings with key school staff to ensure that this takes place.
Depending on the age of the pupil, we may need to conduct an academic evaluation, which might include an English Entrance Test, maths evaluation and other appropriate subject exams, for the oldest students. Alongside these evaluations, we expected high standards of behaviour, and a commitment to making a positive contribution to our school community. For school age children the application process should be supported with current and recent school reports.
The Admission Process extends beyond the formal acceptance of a student as we understand the importance of a quick and seamless transition and insertion into the school. Prior to the start of the academic year, Taster Days are organised for students to attend school with their new classmates. In addition, meetings and parent/school liaison are put in place to ensure close support and guidance during the induction and settling-in period.
