The British School is proud of our students’ performance in the independent, rigorous and internationally recognised examinations taken annually. These examination courses and final results provide a strong academic formation and an excellent preparation for future careers and university study in a range of countries.
The majority of BSGC students take ten International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSEs) at the end of Year 11. These exams are graded on a 1-9 scale, with 9 being the highest grade and 4 rating as a pass.
In Years 12 and 13 (Bachillerato), students undertake a two-year course with Advanced Subsidiary (AS) exams sat at the end of Year 12, and Advanced 2 (A2) in Year 13. These qualifications open the access to universities and careers in UK, Spain, Netherlands and numerous other countries across the world.
The table below highlights the overall pass rate for each BSGC cohort since 2018.
